I love Melbourne

I especially love the buzz during this time of the year…

Everyone is still happy about the New Year, everyone chats in the street and smiles.

What I really love about this time of the year, in particular this year, is that the Cricket downfall of the Ashes is over. As a community we can now concentrate on the great two weeks of tennis that is displayed at the Australian Open. And, it’s not just me that feels this way, SEN 1116 Β are very happy that the Cricket chat can now be numbed a little…

Maybe us Aussies love the Tennis because there are no expectations of our players. It is an international event and we flock to Rod Laver Arena to see the skills of Nadal, Federer and even Clijsters. With a Ground Pass you can sit out in the sun or browse the outside courts, or you can step it up and get a ticket to go inside the stadiums.

The downfalls are the added traffic on the roads, but if you have an Aus Open ticket you can ride public transport for free. There is even an after work pass so you can come have a beer, catch some tennis and listen to live music performances.

As you can tell I really love this time of the year, and I love that Melbourne showcases great sport (except the 2010/11 Ashes Series) all year round!
